In this intensive two-day workshop, learn the YUME method developed by Takara Belmont through demonstration, supervised practice and individual feedback at Eikonic Academy in Mississauga, Canada.

Explore the intention behind each stage of the program and develop the awareness to deliver it thoughtfully. Move beyond following a sequence toward understanding how your technique and presence shape the guest experience. Choose the session that works best for you. Both dates are held in person at Eikonic Academy in Canada. All prices are in U.S. dollars; applicable taxes are additional. Early-bird tuition is available for a limited time and may change for future sessions.

Who this workshop is for

Hairstylists, barbers, spa practitioners and salon or spa owners exploring how to introduce or refine a Japanese Head Spa experience. If you are new to professional hair services or unsure whether the workshop suits your background, contact us before registering so we can guide you.

What you will learn

• The YUME approach: understand the principles behind the treatment and the guest experience.
• Preparation and comfort: treatment environment, draping, equipment and guest positioning.
• Technique and flow: cleansing application, shampoo lather, invigorating scrub, calming massage and rinsing routines.
• Warmth and finishing rituals: Cap Mist, towel bath, hot towel massage and Headbath.
• Practitioner ergonomics: warm-up stretches, body positioning and movement to support your working comfort.

How you will learn

Watch educator demonstrations, break down the treatment into manageable stages, then bring the sequence together through supervised practice. Each participant has an opportunity to practise the treatment once during the two-day workshop and receive individual feedback.

Your education team

Training is delivered by Eikonic Academy, a Takara Belmont authorized YUME training and education facility. Its YUME education team includes Jessica Hoach, College Dean, co-founder, globally certified YUME educator and head spa business consultant, and Jasmeen Gill, a Takara Belmont certified global YUME educator and stylist.

Flying in?
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is an option for your arrival. The airport is approximately 11 miles from the Delta, around a 20-minute drive depending on traffic. The hotel does not provide an airport shuttle, so plan your airport transfer separately.

Plan to attend both full training days. Tuition does not include transportation or accommodation. Confirm the daily class schedule before booking flights.
